Smart locks

The code is the key.

Every booking creates its own PIN that only works within the booked time slot. No radio, no network, no app at the lock – your guest types the code and opens up. Which lock is the right one depends on what you rent out and where it stands.

Our default lockMain integration

Igloo Padlock – dependable and secure.

A padlock built to take beach, sand and salt water. We have worked with it the longest and the integration goes the deepest – from registering the lock to the code for each booking, everything runs in the dashboard.

How access works

9 4 2 7 1 0 5 8 3
Nine-digit PIN per booking

Valid for the booked period plus a grace window before and after. After that it stops working.

Padlock with a number pad on a metal rack
  • Military standard

Solid housing, built to secure valuable equipment.

  • Salt-water proof

Beach, sand and salty air barely touch it with a little maintenance.

  • A season per charge

One charge lasts through the season in normal operation.

  • USB-C charging

Recharge without removing it, with off-the-shelf cables and adapters.

For cabinets and lockersPilot

EuroLocks – built in, easy to operate.

The lock sits inside the cabinet door and needs no extra mounting. Unlike a padlock, nobody can walk off with it. That turns lockers, dispensing cabinets and equipment compartments into self-service stations. The integration currently runs as a pilot in real installations.

Two codes, one rental

11 digits
Start PIN, opens the rental
4 digits
then for the booked period

Your guest opens the compartment once with the long code. After that they reopen it with the short PIN for the rest of the booking.

  • Built into the door

Fitted into the cabinet door instead of hung on the outside.

  • Cannot go missing

Unlike a padlock, it cannot be taken off.

  • AA battery

A standard battery you can buy anywhere.

  • 1–1.5 years of runtime

A battery change roughly every second season.

The affordable alternativeIntegration in progress

Strandscanner – light, cheap, intuitive.

Plastic housing, low weight, small price. Meant for equipment in supervised areas or for gear whose value does not warrant a high-security lock – and for fleets that need many locks at once.

How access is meant to work

Short PIN per booking

The connection to Sunlock is not finished yet. Until it is, this lock is an outlook, not an offer.

Imagery to follow
  • Light

Plastic housing, little weight on the equipment.

  • Inexpensive

The lowest cost when many locks are needed.

  • For supervised areas

A fit where there is line of sight or the value at stake is smaller.

  • Coin cell, about 1 year

    Swap it once a year.

Other locks

Already working with a different lock?

We are open to further integrations. If a lock can generate codes for time slots and offers an interface, we are happy to take a look.

Suggest a lock
  • An interface exists

The lock needs an API or some procedure that lets codes be generated.

  • Codes with a time slot

A PIN has to be limited to a period – that is the basis of every booking.

  • Offline

There is rarely a network on site. The code has to work without a connection.
